Raymundo Hostel is located in a privileged area of the historic center of Évora, classified as World Heritage.
It is located in one of the main streets in Évora, very close to Giraldo Square (140m / 2 min walk), public transportation, the Tourist Office and the central core of the city which concentrates the majority of the most important monuments, including the Cathedral, Temple of Diana, Chapel of Bones, University Museums, etc., and all the way between these monuments easily be done on foot from this accommodation.
The origin of the building is lost in time, being the result of multiple reconstructions and adaptations.
It features an old building, having been operated upon to think of new (re)use, with a view to not misrepresent its architecture and its historical past. From the Terrace, some of the main monuments can be visualized, just like the cut of the roofs of the urban web and, a bit further, the Alentejo plains.
Our options in the preparation and decoration of the Hostel passed essentially by the preservation of existing reuse furniture and decorative items, with an organization of space to think about the welfare and comfort of guests. The decor is, therefore, simple and light.
